For the alternative, queer, and femme-presenting youth .

Our Values.

Creating Safe Spaces.

We recognize and protest the ongoing passive attitude towards sexual violence, and the presence of discrimination in the nightlife and party scenes. We have a ‘no creeps, no jerks’ policy that refuses entry and does not welcome those that prey upon others, or exude dangerous predatory behavior. In pop-up venues, we commonly hire an all-female and primarily POC security team to help keep our event attendees safe and comfortable.

Platforming Young Artists.

We constantly strive to platform the young artists in the scene. We want our performers, collaborators, and vendors to reflect our community- most of the performers and vendors at our events were EO event attendees or friends we made at a party or local show.

We emphasize the need for more female, BIPOC, queer, and trans youth representation in the alternative scene; thus we organize our events to meet these goals and produce talented inclusive lineups.

Harm Reduction.

We advocate for safe sex and safe substance use. We commonly have harm reduction supplies such as condoms and sanitary supplies free to grab at our events. We support the widespread presence of Naloxone in the nightlife scene to save lives. Although our events are substance-free, we cannot ignore that we are in an Opioid crisis, and it is always best to be prepared in case of an emergency; at our events, we always have peers trained in administering Naloxone present, and/or licensed medics. Attendee safety is #1.

PLURR.

Peace, Love, Unity, Respect + Responsibility

Estella Originals is a grassroots organization. With our growth and audience expansion, we will continue expressing our gratitude for the support we receive. We have the utmost respect for all our collaborators.

During our events, we aim to host our guests with compassion and welcome. Although our team runs the show, we’re still ravers and punks who wanna dance + trade kandi with everyone!!

Spreading and Protecting Culture.

There is an extreme lack of alternative spaces catered to youth. We want to provide and curate alternative events, not only for those already identifying within these cultures and subcultures but also for those who are exploring and navigating their identities and interests.

As the alternative scenes grew momentum in the 70s-90s, there’s a rumour amongst generations that the alternative scenes have vanished- and we want to prove otherwise and uphold the important impact of creative cultures outside the norm.

Resident DJ

We currently have 1 resident DJ that plays at our DJ feature events. You know them lol.
